Lobov Azria about the collection:
"This collection is inspired by Bauhaus of the 1930s, by its modernism and constructivism and color. We have a range of colors, from neutrals to beautiful reds and burgundys to blues to pops of yellows, fading into black and white at the end. It's a really beautiful ombre. As far as favorites, that's like asking me to choose a favorite child!"
As you probably already know [since Kelsi and I have been posting and tweeting about it!], our second Fash Mobs! show took place at the LA County Fair last week. 50 Dresses by Tess Vigil presented its Spring 2012 collection amongst fried foods and fair rides, to an unsuspecting crowd.

In a nutshell, Fash Mobs! is a fashion presentation concept driven by street fashion and spontaneity. It brings fashion back to the community in a flash mob style. This pop-up fashion presentation approach is designed to utilize unique public spaces in high-traffic areas to present Los Angeles fashion throughout the city. If you're more of a visual person [like me], just watch this video of the show:

Los Angeles-based shoe brand, Seychelles, provided its lively, modern footwear styles and POP Beauty orchestrated make up for the fashion show. I have to say, it's always great when sites like Glamour.com, LATimes.com and LAist.com care enough to write about something that started off as one of your many extracuricular activities.I guess this one's a keeper!
As always, follow @FashMobs, @Stylesmith or myself [@MrCuit] on Twitter for info on our upcoming shows.
Fash Mobs! has been created for many reasons, but one of the main reasons being that fashion in Los Angeles is just not presented properly [perhaps that's why LAFW hasn't really gone anywhere, hmmm?]. Let's be honest, LA fashion is about streetwear. So, what better way to present it than on the streets! That's why Kelsi & I are doing away with runways and bringing the fashion to the community on the streets.
Much like a flash mob, Fash Mobs happen suddenly, entertain present company and dissapear as quick as it appeared. This being our first show, we created a hybrid with traditional fashion show elements to test our theory. Turns out, people enjoy it! But don't take my word for it... http://lat.ms/rhXSlD
Many thanks to our partners on this show: Swimwear by Cia Maritima, footwear by Seychelles, hair by Works of Art and make up by Pop Beauty.

I was invited to THV|PR & Angeleno Magazine's Fashion Night at Supperclub by the fabulous Adolfo Sanchez, who was presenting his FW2011 collection, on the evening of March 16th. I was very impressed with his designs. I have to say, not saying this because he's a friend and I was invited there by him, but he was the designer that caught my eye the most. Other designers included: Tony Cohen, Ghita, DEPT & J.C. Rags. I didn't manage to snap any good pictures. Perhaps it was because I wasn't really there as a blogger. You see, the concept of my blog wasn't even in the works at the time!
Good thing I got some of the photos from Adolfo Sanchez & team. Here are my favorites from his collection:
This little black dress is exactly that, but the silver fox fur on the shoulder adds such a simple yet vibrant accent that demands attention. There's a pop but it stays very true to the fact that this is a simple black dress. BTW, I talked to Adolfo after the show and, yes, that is real fur. I was comfortable to learn that it was not fur imported from China, since I recently saw one of the worst videos of the terrible crap that goes on in Chinese fur farms.
I have to admit, I use to be so against brown on black, but for some time now, I just can't get enough! Hence, this fabulous black coat with fox fur around the neck and sleeves was one of my faves. You can literally throw this jacket on anything and make it look chic. Excellent work Mr. Sanchez. Perhaps soon we'll see some men's clothes from you... wink wink!
I had this vision of being able to enjoy the shows and then capturing the finales for sharing purposes but, for some reason, the designers at this show didn't do finales showcasing all the looks at once. Of course, the one designer that did was the first and yours truly wasn't prepared to capture the video. However, I did manage to get video of this crazy fit dude who put on an astonishing aerial show. Apparently, that's what we have to do to be in the best shape on our lives. Sign me up!
