I had a rediculously great time this night! I mean, last year's Two Point Oh LA's Snowball was pretty amazing [who doesn't love a dance party?], but this year was special in its own way. Thank you to our host, Kelsi, and well done once again. We @BCBGMAXAZRIA got to dress nine of the ladies for this year's Snowball in our Holiday 2011 and Resort 2012 collections. Funny thing: there was a giant bilboard of BCBG & BCBGeneration directly across the street from The Palihouse; how convenient! I wore a shirt and blazer from ZARA, Topman slacks and Dior shoes. Looking forward to collaborating with everyone once again in the near future!

As you probably already know [since Kelsi and I have been posting and tweeting about it!], our second Fash Mobs! show took place at the LA County Fair last week. 50 Dresses by Tess Vigil presented its Spring 2012 collection amongst fried foods and fair rides, to an unsuspecting crowd.

In a nutshell, Fash Mobs! is a fashion presentation concept driven by street fashion and spontaneity. It brings fashion back to the community in a flash mob style. This pop-up fashion presentation approach is designed to utilize unique public spaces in high-traffic areas to present Los Angeles fashion throughout the city. Los Angeles-based shoe brand, Seychelles, provided its lively, modern footwear styles and POP Beauty orchestrated make up for the fashion show.  I have to say, it's always great when sites like Glamour.com, LATimes.com and LAist.com care enough to write about something that started off as one of your many extracuricular activities.I guess this one's a keeper!

About Fash Mobs!

Fash Mobs! has been created for many reasons, but one of the main reasons being that fashion in Los Angeles is just not presented properly [perhaps that's why LAFW hasn't really gone anywhere, hmmm?]. Let's be honest, LA fashion is about streetwear. So, what better way to present it than on the streets! That's why Kelsi & I are doing away with runways and bringing the fashion to the community on the streets.

Much like a flash mob, Fash Mobs happen suddenly, entertain present company and dissapear as quick as it appeared. Two Point Oh LA #Picnic11

While most people in LA were avoiding #carmageddon this weekend, some of us were gliding down the freeways to get to Two Point Oh LA's 2nd Annual Picnic! I was super excited for this event —not only because it's such an awesome gathering of fabulous people, but— because it also signified Kelsi and I's one year anniversary! You see, we met at last year's picnic. Congrats wifey [tell your hetero husband I say hi!] and kudos for such a successful event!

Like most things, let's start with the invite... Look at all those sponsors!

I, of course, started the afternoon going straight for the sweets! Even the candy was ontrend at this party: color blocking!

Yup, we sure did get to decorate our own giftbag totes! Some people were better than others... this dude below was clearly on the winning team!

The best thing I could come up with was stick figures! A very chic stick figure, nonetheless. 

Once my bag was good and decorated, it was time to fill it! The gifting suite included fabulous goodies from sponsors like: Neiman Marcus, Proactiv, Bob Harper, Redken and much, much more!

It wouldn't be a fashion party without a photo booth! Thanks Usnaps for helping document our festivities!

Los Feliz Fashion Festival

Last weekend, I attended an event. It was one of those events where there was almost too much going on so the true purpose of the gathering may have suffered as a result. Plus, there were no materials to take away with information, so needless to say there's little I can offer as far as event coverage.

However, I had a good time and I was very impressed with the space itself. The event was held at Secret Service, an intimate menswear boutique located inside of an old firehouse in downtown LA. The showroom, which is a large open space that I imagine served as the firehouse garage, is tightly curated and the space is used very well [I hate when independent retail stores like this one overcrowd their showrooms with stuff]:

Art was being displayed in an outdoor area, which I was told served as the racquetball court for firefighters when the firehouse was in business. The rawness on the walls, paint chipping off and old wood peaking through, created such an awesome effect in this space:

The clothes were impressive too! I believe the guy behind the store is also involved with Crate Denim. I saw some unique pieces by Surface to Air and I was a huge fan of this Norse Projects shirt:
