I had a rediculously great time this night! I mean, last year's Two Point Oh LA's Snowball was pretty amazing [who doesn't love a dance party?], but this year was special in its own way. Thank you to our host, Kelsi, and well done once again. We @BCBGMAXAZRIA got to dress nine of the ladies for this year's Snowball in our Holiday 2011 and Resort 2012 collections. Funny thing: there was a giant bilboard of BCBG & BCBGeneration directly across the street from The Palihouse; how convenient! I wore a shirt and blazer from ZARA, Topman slacks and Dior shoes. Looking forward to collaborating with everyone once again in the near future!
With the holidays here and fall in full swing, you're probably thinking about getting some cozy sweaters in the near future. Cashmere is at the top of most people's list, but it can be quite pricey so most people don't end up finding something that works with their wallets. That's why, I thought you'd be interested to learn about Enzo Mantovani's availability at select Costco stores and on Costco.com.
Enzo Mantovani is an Italian fashion house known for its luxury cashmere products, which originate from Mangolian wool and are made in Italy. Through an exclusive holiday partnership with Costco, Mantovani has made its elegant sweaters avaiable in the U.S. We're talking fine marino wool starting at $60 and Mongolian cashmere for less than $120! That's about 70% off the prices at department stores. You can shop Mantovani's collection on Costco.com or see the list of participating Costco stores.
Best part, sale is happening through this weekend and the Christmas holiday! What are you waiting for, time to make a small investment on a huge purchase that's going to keep you happy all year long! Styles are available for men and women — so, don't forget to pick up an extra heavenly cashmere sweater for your significant other! If you're already out shopping today, you might be able to take advantage of additional Black Friday promos... Happy Black Friday!
It's official: The holidays are upon us! First off, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
This weekend is one of my favorites because so much goes on. First off, it's a 4-day weekend and who doesn't love those. Although, if you're in the business of social media — there's never a day off! Thanksgiving is one of the few days of the year when it's acceptable to eat until you're in pain. Hence, we prepared a 24 lbs turkey for about 10 people. How perfect is this:
After Thanksgiving comes Black Friday, the shoppest day of the year! All those rediculously great sales normally last through the long weekend too. The great thing is that you can just go to your normal shopping destination and chances are you'll encounter a sale! This year, I'll be doing my shopping online. Happy shopping!
Finally, if you're like me and you really like to enjoy your Christmas tree for as long as possible, you'll be getting it this weekend! With that said, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Thanks for reading, tweeting, commenting and coming to visit here and there. I promise to be better about posting more often. With the new job and everything else going on, it's been quite challenging to post more often.
Any who, thanks. That's all. Cheers!
As you probably already know [since Kelsi and I have been posting and tweeting about it!], our second Fash Mobs! show took place at the LA County Fair last week. 50 Dresses by Tess Vigil presented its Spring 2012 collection amongst fried foods and fair rides, to an unsuspecting crowd.

In a nutshell, Fash Mobs! is a fashion presentation concept driven by street fashion and spontaneity. It brings fashion back to the community in a flash mob style. This pop-up fashion presentation approach is designed to utilize unique public spaces in high-traffic areas to present Los Angeles fashion throughout the city. If you're more of a visual person [like me], just watch this video of the show:

Los Angeles-based shoe brand, Seychelles, provided its lively, modern footwear styles and POP Beauty orchestrated make up for the fashion show. Models courtesy of Vision Los Angeles and the photography was done by Hagop Kalaidijan. For more pictures, including behind the scenes and postcards from the mob, visit our Flickr!
I have to say, it's always great when sites like Glamour.com, LATimes.com and LAist.com care enough to write about something that started off as one of your many extracuricular activities.I guess this one's a keeper!
As always, follow @FashMobs, @Stylesmith or myself [@MrCuit] on Twitter for info on our upcoming shows.
During this season's MAGICLV trade shows, I was exposed to Volley and they have become one of my favorite brands! These canvas sneakers are comfy as heck! [Thanks for outfitting my feet Volley!] If you're not familiar, think chucks that come from Australia. Apparently, the brand has been around for years... since 1939! So, if you're Australian you have probably owned a pair or three in your lifetime. They recently underwent a huge rebranding, which led them to the States and it seems to be working out quite well for them. I mean, you can get them at Urban Outfitters now.
Volley hosted a super hoity-toity party in one of the Skylofts of the MGM Grand. Besides the amazing space, the food and booze were top notch! All of this aside, it was the amazing people that made the night such a highlight for me!
Right when you thought things couldn't get better... Australian musician, Ben Lee, played an intimate set for present company. He got everyone in the room to rock out and ended up on top of an ottoman, like a true rock star! [Work with what you got, right?]
Here's a little tease of our private show:
Not only did I walk away with some quintessential Australian sneakers, but I made some awesome new friends! What more can one ask for!
More awesome new brands from the trade shows coming soon!
Fash Mobs! has been created for many reasons, but one of the main reasons being that fashion in Los Angeles is just not presented properly [perhaps that's why LAFW hasn't really gone anywhere, hmmm?]. Let's be honest, LA fashion is about streetwear. So, what better way to present it than on the streets! That's why Kelsi & I are doing away with runways and bringing the fashion to the community on the streets.
Much like a flash mob, Fash Mobs happen suddenly, entertain present company and dissapear as quick as it appeared. This being our first show, we created a hybrid with traditional fashion show elements to test our theory. Turns out, people enjoy it! But don't take my word for it... http://lat.ms/rhXSlD
Many thanks to our partners on this show: Swimwear by Cia Maritima, footwear by Seychelles, hair by Works of Art and make up by Pop Beauty.

While most people in LA were avoiding #carmageddon this weekend, some of us were gliding down the freeways to get to Two Point Oh LA's 2nd Annual Picnic! I was super excited for this event —not only because it's such an awesome gathering of fabulous people, but— because it also signified Kelsi and I's one year anniversary! You see, we met at last year's picnic. Congrats wifey [tell your hetero husband I say hi!] and kudos for such a successful event!
Like most things, let's start with the invite... Look at all those sponsors!
I, of course, started the afternoon going straight for the sweets! Even the candy was ontrend at this party: color blocking!
Yup, we sure did get to decorate our own giftbag totes! Some people were better than others... this dude below was clearly on the winning team!
The best thing I could come up with was stick figures! A very chic stick figure, nonetheless.
Once my bag was good and decorated, it was time to fill it! The gifting suite included fabulous goodies from sponsors like: Neiman Marcus, Proactiv, Bob Harper, Redken and much, much more!
It wouldn't be a fashion party without a photo booth! Thanks Usnaps for helping document our festivities!
OMG! It's Rach LaRoche of Ordinarily Urbane and Eileen Lee of LA Lovetta looking cute! You can view all the photo booth shots here. As you can see, Kelsi & I take our prom portraits very seriously.
Here is the most picnic-y thing I could put together...
Click-thru to my lookbook profile for outfit details. Hype if you must! ;-]
And, finally, you can check out more picnic pictures in the slideshow below.
Thanks for picnicking with me & the Two Point Oh LA crew!
